I have tried recording outside the car, from the rear number plate , also stuck a microphone onto the passenger side rear vision mirror, but wind noise just got too much... Inside the car is what counts IMHO it is what we'd hear if we drove someone else's car. If you want exhaust noise, get someone to record as you accellerate past etc. [Report message to a moderator]
