Cool, i will stay in touch This is scaring me at the moment.. I have acquired a 1GEU motor, complete, (i already have the 1G-GTE sorta complete, without the wiring harness, and ecu, and the crank, but ill take that from the new motor im getting today)the problems that im facing now are:
1. Will the 1GEU bellhousing fit on the A34D box i have in there? I think thats the right code, stock 5m auto anyway. (Soarers (Z1's) came with 1GEU's stock.. so im thinking the box's would be the same'ish )
2. How much of a pain in the arse is it going to be to install a 1G-GTE "GA70 Supra" wiring harness into the car, but most of all, wtf am i going to get diagrams on how to hook up the computer and things to the dash, theyre from different year model cars.
3. What am i going to do about power steering and airconditioning, i guess i could sacrifice air cond, but id rather it be there, will it all fit on the 1GGTE block/head.. and will it all fit in my car?
4. And, are the bottom ends on the 1G motors the same? Except for the turbo ones of course, due to the lower compression ratio, but that is achieve through the pistons only isnt it?
Mods/things i am/have done to my car are..
2 x CT12 turbos, cleaned out and in good nick
Custom manifold to fit the two CT12's and the soarer's body shape. My dad's making all the steelwork for me, so there isnt much dollars spent there, thankgod!
Custom exhaust and dump pipes
Custom intake piping, with limited restriction, and pod filters on the turbos
VR4 Intercooler 430 x 200 x 60 (core size)
Boost control, Gotta love it!
Probably also run 12psi.. if the turbos can take it, when they blow up, ill cut and reweld the manifold to increase size to fit on a T4 Lag central here we come.. 12 secs here we come too
I have all this already, i will have to make the manifold and exhaust when everything is on the car. 1/2 of the 5MGEU came out today, the other 1/2 should be all out by a week's time'ish... you never know with cars! I have about just under 3 weeks worth of holidays at the moment, so i want to do as much as possible when i have the time.
