I have one word for you, CarbieClean (I think that is what it is called).
it is a parts cleaner anyway, and safe to shoot down your throttle body to get all the junk behind the butterfly valve (correct me anyone if I am wrong, but I have done it before) Just have your engine running when you do that. You may have to hold your flow meter open a little though.
but I have used carbie clean for all my gunky metal parts and it works a charm
