Mate, when I read this thread I feel at home. I hate having to edumacate the said 15 y.o fucktard (I actually had never heard that before but I LIKE it) as to the difference between the part that I want and the part that he is trying to sell me, and then just after I think that he gets what I am saying, his superior fucktard comes and tries to tell me the same shit that I jsut heard. Definitely the salesperson must be knowledgeable about the parts that they are selling. Must sell performance parts (like clear tail lights for my ful sik Lancer will not be needed). Would be ideal if the staff drive performance vehicles, like a Hyundai Excel fitted with a mother of a turbo and a front mount intercooler. Most importantly, if they don't have the part, they know what you are talking about (provided the description is clear) and get the catalogue that is relevant, and can order it in, or direct you to another supplier that may be able to help. This all sounds like a tall order, but it can (and occasionally does happen). I love it when someone tells me that they don't carry the part that I am after, but here's a number and ask for so and so. They will always get repeat business from me.
