Fergo - you can't compare an front engine rwd ae86 with a mid engineed rwd car, say the front suspension is the same and they weigh about the same, and then say why should the aw11 handle any different!!!! Sorry, but this undermines a lot of what you say. You'd really have to have very slight grasp of physics at all to say something like that and believe it.

I don't believe I said any difference,I believe I said what's the MAJOR difference?
as in overall corenring speeds,feel,or high speed stability.
something that one does significantly better than the other to be able to say,oh,but the aw11 beats the ae86 "HERE"...
that's what I was asking. I haven't had a chance to drive one hard yet,so I'm asking,as I know what the ae86 can do (for example 18min gate to gate through the nasho,and 1'20" laps of wakefield),so I'm curious as to what an AW11 can do,as I don't see any HUGE differences between them. having the engine 4" behind your head instead of 8" in front of you can't make them like a MX5 and an 323...
I'd love to have a proper drive of an AW11,but haven't had the chance for more than a run around the block at normal suburban street speeds,so I can't say much about the car's limits. anything decent will feel solid at 50km/h. if someone wants to give me a go in one,I'll be more than happy to accept.
