Yes a W55 will fit, but you'll need a new tailshaft yoke; the tailshaft will also need to be shortened, and you'll need to fabricate a transmission crossmember.
I strongly doubt the 2S will just bolt up to a TA22 crossmember, but it can probably be done with minimal work. There is nothing interchangeable between S series and T series engines.
