is yr original wiring an external alternator type

if it is then all u do is find voltage regulator

on the 6 pin plug u will have a wire that goes to yr charge light

that goes to L

the will also be a wire with ignition power on it

that goes to IG

then there is the s wire on the alternator
that goes to battery which the easiest way to run is a small loop wire from S to the B+ terminal or battery terminal on back of alternator
