an interesting bit of info is Toyota started out as Toyoda Loom Works and u will find that they still build sewing machines etc.
Im so lame but back in my uni days i borrowed this book from the library about the story of toyota, it was one of those boring cahsless holidays so i figured what the hell.
call me lame but i got totally involved in this book as if it was a mini-series or something, its amazing how many times a company can be confronted with financial ruin.
another important bit of info is toyota pioneered the just-in-time manufacturing process.
