Norbies right ( as on a very regular basis - listen to the norbie!) - Stick with the 2t - and freshen up the carby -

I used to get at least 500KM out of a tank when i was a poor uni student - driving that distance + a week easy - and all that went wrong with the 2t was it blew a coil resistor .. simple to fix !

they are cheap reliable and gusty enough to have a play with if you want now and then ..

a rebuild for one of those carbs by memory set me back about 100 dollars ..

if you want a similar mechanical carby cheap option , i have a 32dir weber here in my shed + the manifold that you could use on the 2t . They are about the same size as the factory aisan carby - but all mechanical - nothing vaccum driven .. ( oh and it comes with the added weber sound Smile

to convert your car to another motor is uneccesary $$'s to spend - save your $$'s and stick with the 2t until you have a bit more income ~
