The easiest way to pop the needle is to use 2 kitchen forks, one on each side to lever it off.
Another way is to re-cal your aussie speedo, jack up wheels securely and run it in top gear,use tacho to cal new upper speeds. Take off speedo face,scan image into pc, edit image with new marks, print out on good paper, stick back on speedo face.
Results can be so good no-one will pick it!
