TA23's only had 2T's (ie 1600cc). Of course it's entirely possible someone has done a conversion at some point!
TO answer the question, the major concerns are rust, rust and rust. The mechanicals are pretty much bulletproof and cheap/easy to fix, but a dodgy rusty body will cost a fortune to repair. Check it out carefully, and take a fridge magnet with you!
