Hey, it's an ST. LT's were the only one's released in Australia. That's pretty cool. I've got some ST parts and was looking to do mine up as a ST. I was told the main differents between the LT's and the ST's were, front grill, ST badge on the back, lights in the Door skins, instead of a oil and charge warning light it's got a guage for these.
But anyway, Rust! Check the sils under the doors, there is drain holes there which would have been plugged. Check that these are unplugged otherwise they rust from the inside out. Inside the rear wheel arches there is a lip where dirt and mud sit so check that there's no rust there. Inside the rear quarters in the bottom of the boot, can rust there. The front quarters fold back on themselves, an nice place for mud to sit, therefore rusting from the inside out. Parcel shelf, around the window and same with the windscreen.
I own 3 RA23's and these are the standard rust spots on all of them. Be careful because they rust from the inside out.
