Hey Phil, how's it going? Yeah the dipstick seems to be reading okay, and I'm pretty sure it was overfull for at least a few days. That's what I found difficult to understand, how it would go from too much oil to (possibly surging and) telling me I didn't have enough (if that's what the warning was from). That's why I thought maybe the pump had difficulty with an overabundance of oil or that perhaps the sensor was malfunctioning. I guess you're right I'll have to try and rig it up with a gauge and work out exactly what's going on. Do you know of any cheap oil-pressure gauges that'll do the job (I remember someone saying something about other gauges you could adapt to it)? I've got it booked in to my mechanics to get everything checked over on the 24th but I'd like to try and work it out sooner. I might get in touch with Chuck and see if he can give me a hand. Cheers, Chris. Oh, and just in case, any idea how much it costs to replace the oil pump on one of these engines? Are there any better ones you can fit? And how did dyno day go for you? Heard Jason's rolla ripped it up pretty good, just beaten by a 4agte though so there's hope for you yet
