yeah, drop the shaft and feel for play in the joints, both rotationally, and laterally.
theres not much you can do if a joint is stuffed though, so be prepared to replace the driveshafts, or have some new joint fabricated onto the existing shaft, should you find one is totally bugered.
most likely youll find theyre pretty ok, but perhaps a bit rusty, stiff, under-lubed etc. try and free the joints up a bit, and lube them well before reinstalling
