Yeah, in a corona I'd go with the 1G. 1JZ is possible, but heavier, thirstier, bigger, etc. whereas the 1G is, in my opinion, somewhat underestimated in its ability, probably because they came with rather ordinary looking turbos etc. from the factory! Very few people seem to actually bother working the 1G, they just stick it in stock for the most part. Pity.
