bugger mate! Blame the Commonwhore ute Smile

Even forgies can be broken. I seriously hope for your sake that you havnt busted one or two, but 60 degrees extra advance is a hell of a lot of timing on full noise. Why did the heater hose & welsh plug blow out? Is it possible that you've blown the head gasket between the combustion chamber & water gallery, pressurising the cooling system with the combustion pressure till something blew out to release it? Do you run a standard head gasket? If you have a tough bottom end, then the head gasket would usually be the first to fail with detonation....

A leakdown compression test would tell the story, but you could just try running it first with the radiator cap off to see if the water is bubbling from compression leakage into the cooling system... Then you could cross your fingers & hope its not pistons as well Smile Sad

Good luck!
Phil
