Ok on my Camry the air flow meter (AFM) is a circular flap that swivels to adjust for the position of the throttle. Anyway I ripped it appart the other day and what happens is when the trottle moves off idle the air flow is almost completely cut off!!! then it opens up.

SO on idle it has a small gap then closes and then opens further...... So a mate of mine told me that it might be pos to replace it with a AFM from another car. Is this possible? If so which car would the pice come from??

I would prefer not to change the whole ECU and attached systems. So i guess a MAP system is out of the question. Swift GTI's have a single wire in the AFM and that just sends a change in voltage to the ECU, so i'm supposing that this would be a standard for most cars...

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED
Very Happy
