heres my question, will any ae101 gze loom fit a ae101 gze?
Or can you only use the loom that came with that motor?
Or would i be better off just going an aftermarket, if so whats the going prices roughly and what type, ie microtech, haltech series etc

Also, what hubs would i need to put in to my twinky so im able to use the ae101 lsd box?

Any replies will be most appreciated

Gday twincam,

I'm no expert on this but this is the way i see it. I really don't think there was more than one model ae101 gze engine in japan, so, if you have an ae101 gze wiring loom, it should fit your engine perfectly, and if it doesn't fit perfect, it will be very close! Maybe one had aircon and the other didn't, so you might find no aircon wiring or something little like that. Doubt it though, should all be fine. Are the ae101 gze fuse boxes the same as the fuse boxes you have ?

However, if you're going to put in the ae101 gze loom yourself, you might elect to just go get a nice aftermarket system rather than paying to have the original loom put on, and then realising you want an aftermarket system and paying for the wiring to be done twice. I opted to use the original ecu with my 20 valve 4age, this was due to me knowing that i didn't have much money at the time, and also wasn't playing with forced induction (not to say that an aftermarket would not have been better though).

So as far as the wiring is concerned my advise would be compare the difference between having the standard ecu all wired up (loom cost/installationg if you dont do it yourself) with how much it will cost to get a microtech or something shoved in there. Go to a wiring place and get quotes i reckon!

Hope this helped someway,
Seeks.
