im looking for some help with my 1983 2.8L 5MGE Supra, i've rebuilt the engine with an 82 block, 85 head, and 83 electronics and intake, ive been having problem starting it, i figured out it was getting no fuel due to bad wiring to the injectors, so i wiring in some wires from another harness (possibly from another year, though i bought it thinking it was for an 83)but it still wouldnt start, so on a whim i changed the AFM from the 83 to an 82 AFM (which i pretty sure shouldnt work at all) and it started?!?! But it ran REALLY bad and had no throttle response, so i found out i had the wrong AFM, tested the 83 and found it to be bad, so i got another one (im certain its from an 83 which ran before the guy sold it to me) and still nothing, i have checked the timing over 15 times, and everything else should be good because it ran, but with the wrong AFM! Next im going to get another 83 ECU and try it, and maybe even another complete 83 wiring harness, Anybody have any ideas? thanks in advance
