Sat, 06 July 2002 03:41 First of all Congrats on joining the real-car family. sorry if I repeat something that has already been said * the button will be electric arieal, grab a test light and find the motor of the arieal and get someone else to push the button, see if it's still got power. *With the speakers, make sure that you have connected the wires in the right way making sure that black sided wire is always to the negative side of the speaker. secondly if that is all sweet, look at where you have installed it al make sure the terminals are not shorting out onto the car body or something stupid like that. *In the RA60's and so on, the fuel sender does play up a bit, it's a matter of pulling it out of the fuel tank and seeing why it's not playing the game, if you are unsure about this get a mechanic to do it. You don't want to set fire to your new car. *The lights in the doors. grab a test light again. make sure there is power. I know that I've gone through heaps of bulbs on my celica door lights, I put it down to uncareing ppl who slam the door shut causeing the filiment in the bulb to break. Mean PPL!!!! *the light in the boot trick, not sure about this one. but do the same for the doors. inspect the needle switch, (ie. the plunger type thing that makes the interior light go on.) *the best thing you can do for improving the engine is to improve it's breathing. put on a decent exhaust with extractors, and improve the intact side also. *not sure about rims for the RA60. I say a nice pair of 15"x6.5" will do the job, check your offset also. you don't want to go scrubbing you new rims away. *both RA60 and RA65's are pretty much the same, it's all much of a muchness. it's a matter of measuring and trial and error.
