Number one, How are you going to fit a turbo in that engine bay? There ain't even room to move a spanner! The only place that it will fit is on the passager side and it's a long way for the exhaust to travel from the other cylinder bank.... And those pic's on the other forum show exactly what I thought... different and what a heap of mucking around!
Cost, well expensive, considering the amount of fabrication, and being a 3VZ and not the 3VZFE or even a 5VZFE, it would rev too well....
Twisty, for the cost involved, and having just sold my 4 runner, I was looking at a 1JZ or 1UZ engine, close to 200Kw's out of the box and a heap more can be extracted! another option that did come up was a TRD s/c 5VZFE, but was sold before I got a looksy ($5500 complete), and the 3VZ have a well know H/G blow out problem, so modding that was out of the question... in the end someone offered me a good price for my car which I couldn't refuse!
