There is a fair bit of room to fit it, it's not as tight as the one on the link, as I don't have the the steering shaft and brake booster on that side. I also have a 3" bodylift so there is an extra 3"'s of clearance under the bonnet as well. It is still going to be a little tight, but fitting is not going to be too much of a problem.
The standard manifold works perfect for a turbo installion. The drivers side of the manifold has a crossover that wraps around the motor to the passenger side and has a head on with that bank. From here it drops down to the rest of the exhuast from the middle of the passanger side bank. If I knew how to post pics on this I could put up a pick of the modified manifold to suit the turbo, there isn't too much in it.
The headgasket issue is a problem, but I think it shoudld handle it. The other guy is up to 12psi with no probs after a year and a bit, and I'm only going to be running half this. Mine has been fixed already by toyota for no cost, so hopefully it will handle it.
As far a complete egine swap, I think it will add up to too many $$$. I'm hoping to pull this installation off for around $1200-$1500, which I hope is possible.
