ok, here is what you do:
# go down to your local jaycar, and purchase 2 x 1N5404 diodes (cat no. ZR1014) and some wire if needed.
# from the small loom of wires running down your steering column there will be three wires that are for indicators (one left, one right, and one for both). These are usually green or green with a stripe of varying colour on Toyotas.
# with your test light, identify the two wires that flash for only ONE side each (NOT the one that flashes for both sides).
# connect one diode to each of those wires, making sure that the "stripe" side of the diode points towards the wire.
# with some wire connect each of the "non-stripe" ends of the diodes to the flashing output of your alarm.
