My amazing tip of the day:
Do you have your boot/hatch wired in to the door-open input on your alarm too? If not, grab 3 diodes instead of just 2. If you run a wire from the pin that turns the boot/hatch light on to the alarm, chances are it will link your boot-open circuit to the door-open circuit and thus turn the main interior light on whenever you open the boot. A bit annoying. Even if your alarm has 2 door open wires, they might not be isolated (weren't on mine). Put a diode in line and you're away.
My other less amazing tip is... some weird stuff happened when I tapped the indicators initially. I can't remember exactly, but I must have either not used diodes, or tapped the hazard light circuit, or had the diodes back to front, or all of the above. Both indicators would come on whenever one came on.
After installing my alarm once, I went for a drive, and after a while realised I had magaed to wire the indicators back to front! Left was right and right was left. Funny, but potentially very dangerous!
