I got a length of steel rod and bent a loop on one end and bent that on a right angle. You put a bolt through the loop and this screws into a pressure plate bolt hole. The other end just sits in a bellhousing bolt hole on the block.

Yep i get ya that was sort of what i was thinking i would need to do but i wasn't sure if there was an easier less backyard mechanic style option
