I think u can probably get away with a gze in most places. It really depends where abouts u are located. If u are truely interested i know a place where they do good cheap roadworthies. A place i should have done mine at originally. As long as the car appears half decent. No rust no stupid modifications i.e chopped springs missing bits here and there. They will roadworthy it. Mrshin is right about that stamp duty. It doesn't really matter about that reciept. Just write it up yourself and include vin and engine number. They might get sceptical and they will make u write up a vehicle declaration form that basically means. Under what circumstances that car is yours. Just be wary if it is on finance or stolen as mentioned before. Other than that it shouldn't be an issue to register that 20v. Vicroads barely look at the car. they just check the engine and vin number. I got a mate down at the burwood east vicroads. I can chekc up when the next time he is there doing vehicle inspections and u go down when hes there [Report message to a moderator]
