Mon, 28 July 2003 08:09 just get your mechanics mate to look it over before purchase + if they do the engineers report - all should be sweet - I converted from a 2t to a 2tB with no issues - and didnt even need an engineering report because the motors ( bar compression ) are virstually identical .. best avenue is to talk to vicroads and say whats been done to the car and IF it needs the cert or not .. Seeing your not going to another family of motor ( ie 1g or 3s for example ) and the conversion was done properly - you shouldnt have any issues at all Best to get the report if its needed - because if you have an accident in that car - and the RTA want to be picky - you can void all insurance cover you have ..
