yeah, you could break something with brute force....but anyway,
I had a steel rod going in down through the engine bay and found someone stupid enough to hold it while I smacked it with a big hammer.
the other idea is to get a lever on it and apply a fair bit of pressure, then smack it with a big hammer, right in the side of the joint, like when you are removing ball joints.
