The advice I got a while ago was that if the engine (20v) was never sold in Australia in your model of car (AE92) the you need it engineered. Maybe time and alcohol have stuffed my memory or maybe I got dodgy advice. Also it sould be regoed now because Vicroads dont know there is a 20v in it. A friend changed his engine number at Vicroads and they inspected the car and were happy that the numbers were as he had told them, what they didn't notice was that it was a 4AGE in a TA22. But in any case, believe what Vicroads tell you, but make sure you get the name of the person you talk to and the time, in case there are issues later. Hen [Report message to a moderator]
