The alternator has got 4 wires - sense, light, field and the main charge one. On mine I just hooked charge/sense both to the ignition switch, the main one to the battery and the warning light to the, er, warning light Cool

I can't remember which one was which on the 3 pin plug off the top of my head - sorry!
