gtman Forums Junkie Location: Perth Registered: November 2002	Smoking brakes Thu, 31 July 2003 01:52 have noticed this over the last week or so. Mainly coming home when I stop I've seen some smoke coming from the wheel arch of my front left. I passed it off as heat build up being expelled when the car stopped, as it was pretty cold. The other thing I thought it could have been was tyres rubbing against the strut, which they have a tendancy to do as they are alittle big. This morning however when I rock up to work I see a fair bit coming again from just the front left. I have proper sized tyres on the front now so that couldn't be it, and the weather, whilst not being beach temp, wasn't frigid either. I looked underneath as best I could and saw the smoke coming out from around the disk. Is this something to be ultra concerned about? Am I due for pad replacement? The brake pedal feels hard as a rock, although there is sometimes the car has a tendancy to move around under hard braking. Any suggestions would be much appreciated [Report message to a moderator]
