oldcorollas Forums Junkie Location: Kita-Ku, Sapporo, Japan Registered: January 2003	Re: Smoking brakes Thu, 31 July 2003 02:38 it's gonna be one of two things, smoke form the pads, or smoke from the oil or grease. if the pads are dragging it's cos of stuck calipers or master cylnder as norbie said. it could alo be whel bearing, but you would prolly feel that as well. i've had smoke from my bearings before after hard driving (it's leak out on the discs) and also had brake fires, but if it comes form normal drivin, then somethings dragging. kits are pretty cheap and will take you an afternoon to do. i recommend pushing the pistons out while the calipers are still connected to MS tho "Sydney Clutch and Brake" in Alexandria are usually pretty good on price and availability. edit "oh right..
