Mon, 04 August 2003 10:17 the duty that you pay is based on the dutiable value of the car plus a transfer fee... it is $2 for every $100 to the value of the car plus a $16.95 transfer fee. Generally people that pay cash for cars will put a lower dutiable value on the form otherwise the cost skyrockets. I believe it cost me $36.95 at the RTA place for my $3500 TA22..... you do the maths [Report message to a moderator]
