I just scrounged a tail-shaft off a T18 for my AE86 to enable me to install my disc brake rear end. (It's some 15mm shorter and you'll need that.) The AE86 - the only rear drive version of the new release of Corollas in 1983 - was based on the T18 platform so the floorplan is essentially the same for the T18 and the AE86. The diff is bigger and the same as the Jap spec disc brake for the AE86 (incidentally the same once again as the TE71 Levin). Front brakes should be the same, but they're not vented discs, just like the poor old Aus spec AE86s. The gearbox is an earlier T version I understand but don't quote me on that. Oh, don't try to fit the doors to an AE86. They won't go. [Report message to a moderator]
