Yep i figured it out, it's pretty much as Rob said. There's a clip that has to be pushed down on the top and a clip that has to be pulled out at the bottom.
I've now discovered that I need to find a 12-pin connector plug to wire up in addition to the 3 plugs from the SE, as the SX cluster uses 4 plugs. I called the wreckers but they said they don't like cutting up their wiring looms. No one would happen to have one of these plugs spare by any chance?
Rolla Boy, this is on a SE hatch, but the instrument cluster that i want to put in is off an SX hatch. I have drawn up some tables of the wiring but i am not 100% sure on everything. If anyone has wiring diagrams/tables/photos of this conversion could they please help me out on this one? It would be greatly appreciated.
