Problem solved...
Thanks for all your help guys...
Chuk the coil I picked up a few days ago had a part number of 89620-22400, I'm not sure if that is the id for an earlier generation 1g but I picked up another one yesterday wich was a 89620-14420 and after a bit of a clean up and a descent earth it worked a treat.
The beast is ALIVE... now I've just got to put her back together  get mod plates and
wash her .
Can't wait to take her for a spin
