For turbo you'll want a high-lift short-duration cam.
There is a site that may go into the cam differences between the two, or at least state the durations.

I only found three duration readings for 2tg camshafts.
248deg for the original
256 for 2nd gen and also fro 88262
244 (also for 88262)
and none for the 3t gte
