Haha sorry to confuse you dude...
Ok... if the relay is hard to get at we can leave that alone.
Fit a single pin temp sensor that pulls to earth when gets hot.
You have 2 wires coming off your thermo fan (or should anyway).. One is positive, one negative. Put the negative to the single pin temp sensor. Put the positive to the positive wire coming off the relay. Easy!
