I'm the same, have never really done any body work before but I'm now learning. Strip it back to bare metal first because the paint is 30 year's old. Doesn't provide a good base for a new coat. I did that using paint stripper and those disks that go on angle grinders that remove paint from wood and metal.
If the TA22 is anything like my RA23 it will be double skinned in a lot of places so that makes panel beating a bit difficult. That's where the good old trusty bogg comes in handy.
that's the stage where I'm at at the moment. I've got a compresser so I've been practicing spraying with all these sample colours, so I'm getting better at it now.
