The 7A holds a lot of prospect, despite the long stroke of the motor. We've been doing a lot of work with a hybrid Honda 2.0l Vtec Motor, and with a bore/stroke of 85/89mm, the bloody thing still revs up to 8500rpm very strongly. With careful engine preparation and machining, a 7AGE should be able to rev as well up to 8500 or so! The rods that were used on the 2.0l VTEC motor are stock B20B ones (CR-V), linished/polished/balanced/shotpeened. They are quite similar to the 7AFE rods.
