I second what Danny and Spectral have said, install a boost guage ASAP, and try Whiteline for some good suspension mods.
Aussie Exhausts can sell you a 3inch downpipe that bolts straight
on to your car. Do this first if $$$ are tight, and then tackle the rest of the exhaust system after that. Look at gutting the cat, and then maybe relocating it further down the exhaust system at a later stage. It greatly increases underbody temps. Whatever a pod filter might gain for you, you will loose in the hotter air it sucks in, in the engine bay, a k&n panel filter is better. A manual boost control is a good start, but an EBC is better, allowing you to dial down the boost from the cockpit, in normal driving. You will need to fit a fuel cut defender once you dial the boost up.
