RN25/27 ran from 1972 to 1977 or thereabouts, the 30 series went from 78 to 84 I think, and yes in 1989, you would have a 70 series Hilux. The ratio could be anything from 4.7, 4.8 to 4.9, but should be a G series diff. If the axle is off the car, pull the centre of the diff out, and count the teeth on the pinion and on the crown wheel. Divide the second by the first and you have your ratio, eg. crown has 44 teeth, pinion 9 teeth, 4.888 ratio.
