Cool1, so you're saying that a turbo spinning at 0rpm would be the same temp as one spinning at 80,000rpm?
Even if you don't do think that it'll be the same temp, when you're on boost, you push a LOT more hot exhaust gas out, thus the turbo(s) will absorb more heat.
Plus they will be compressing more air, the more air you compress, the more heat is created by the friction of the air particles.
Les, if I've been gunning the crap out of my car, and I've been on boost down the street before I turn in, I normally let it idle for 4.5 mins, but I'm kinda anal about that. Also, on a hot day, I'll let it idle for longer.
