Here is what I have found out. You CANNOT import cars newer than the 15 years rule unless they are totally stock standard. Seeing as I havent seen a stock standard car yet, it would cost you a fair bit of money to bring it back that way. It would seem that it is more worth your while looking on http://www.autotrader.com.au for a nice local one. There are quite a few out there. You just have to be willing to travel interstate if you need to. The MkIII Supras are coming up to the 15 years as from the 1st Jan 2004. You are looking at around the $9000 mark for a nice one of those with about another $1000 to spend for Australian compliance. Not bad really. As for Supra Aerotops, turbo's etc, I have actually seen a couple of the manual aerotops around. Dont know if they had the conversion done, but they are out there. Once again, you just have to look around and be willing to travel. Cheers. [Report message to a moderator]
