sorry i never took mine out, just disconnected them.
Also, I found it very hard to get any decent midbass in the front. eg. I used to have alpine 6.5"s in the front of my old mazda. Moved them into my soarer mounted on a thick baffle and they never sounded the same. Changed speakers and still no luck. that was with 150wrms too!
Also, i tried having the sub box on the back seat facing forwards and it seemed louder, but not in comps. I got 138db with 1 12" sub and a lack of voltage
