yeah, i have a modded 4K and it takes about 3-5mins of driving to get up to temp.. it uses way too much petrol as it is anyway Wink

one way would be to get a thermofan and ditch the water pump fan. that way the thermo (if it has a thermostat switch) will not be on while it's warming up, and will warm up faster.

i don't think the choke uses that much more petrol....
one thing you could try is to disable the link tha actually goes to the choke, so then the choke lever operates the main throttle, thus increasing idle revs, but not actually operating the choke.

it might be a bit lean and stumble/miss with no choke, but it might be fine... iirc i did that with my stock carb... removed the choke flaps completely..

you could always drive ti a little harder when cold Wink
