I was asking my mate who is a cop about this sometime ago..
What happens if someone runs into you on private property. It does change things around.. I'll have to get him to refresh my memory but you can charge them with malicious damage or something along those lines.
Thats if they wont hand over the money of course..
If I ever see someone even knock my car with theirs and try to get away with it.... watch out! pricks that do that should be shot, damage something, pay for it!
I got an old corona mkII, just a run around to leave at the train station each day, and its had 3 seperate run ins now and not 1 of those people have left their details! bastards! shows you how little people care these days about other peoples property.
That quote sounds about right, they have to blend etc. My GF ran into the back of someone only at about 15 - 20km/h and it caused $3500 worth of damage!
