It can depend on the damage you do underneath th plastic as well. I had someone ding the back of my car, and although the plastic bumper popped out again (and the paint fell off Rolling Eyes )
it was also bent undeneath on the brackets. It cost the person who hit me about $350 to get it resprayed and repaired. Anytime the panels come off it's going to be money. Plus the car was prob brand new - and who wants their new car to be anything less than perfect.

Beyond that, I'd had my car tidyied up at the same time (not total respray just some other scratch repair) and two weeks later some f**kwit in a carpark had scraped the front of it. No note, no nothing and I was furious. It annoys me to see the "lets try and get away with it" mentality some people display. Mad Mad

Still, there's nothing worse than hitting a pole or something stationary in your own car - no-one else to blame and you just are so mad at yourself!!
