I'm the only one here with 17" rims so it must be. My rims weren't what I wanted, largest I wanted was 16". I was actually looking for MA61 14x7"s but had been looking with no luck for a year and a half. Anyway, I was on the way to buy a brand new set of wheels (you know how hard it is to find 114.3x4 in a RWD offset??) when these wheels were offered to me with tyres for $750. Who could refuse that? If you look at my car, you'll know that I'm not really into the wank factor, what I wanted, well needed was grip!. BTW, I used to run 195/65R14s and they gave absolutely no grip... Very scary in the wet. Even the 235s in the back right now have trouble providing grip out of corners. I need LSD. As for goemetry, I would not give up the stiff sidewalls of my 17" tyres for the crap I used to have to deal with on the 14s and 15s. Never had 16s on my car so I can't comment, but I'll take the 17s over 14s and 15s any day. They handle way better. They are soooOOOoo progressive at the limit that it makes it almost boring to slide it out. They are heavier, and they do move the polar moment of inertia away from the center of the wheel, but those are sacrifices that I'm willing to make for the feel that my tyres give me.
