Difference between 6MGE & 5MGE w/ 6M plenum Sun, 24 August 2003 01:57 Go to previous message
Looking at this parts car yesterday it looked just like a 5MGE with a 6M plenum (with 3000 stamped on it).
I'm guessing it must be an early 5MGE as it has the twin v belt setup driving the alt/water pump.
I thought all the 6MGEs (being newer) had the single multi-v belt driving the alt/water pump.
Is this correct?

Also I have heard the 6M plenum 'flows better' (for want of better words). Any idea if it is actually worth changing for a few extra hp?
